GIVEAWAY DETAILS AND ENTERING BELOW! 2011 has been a year of big, big highs and big, big lows for this boudoir photographer. Two things stand out in particular. As many of you know, in March, we brought home our 5 year old son from Ethiopia after about 18 months of paperwork, interviews, doctors' appointments, home studies, social worker visits and big, huge changes to the Ethiopian adoption process, including an extra trip to Ethiopia that we hadn't budgeted for. That was obviously a big, big high to have our family completed! Then in May, while knee deep in the adoption transitions for everyone, we found out that my husband had cancer. This summer has been spent back and forth to doctors and the hospital while they made a plan of action. He ended up having two surgeries, spending almost 3 weeks in the hospital in total. He finally came home for the last time earlier this month and we're in what will hopefully be the last stage of his recovery. That was obviously a big, big low! The silver lining is that he's now cancer-free and is cured of a disease (the one that caused the cancer) that he's been suffering from for 13 years. So that's something! While I'm honestly really looking forward to 2012 (it's GOT to be better, right?!), I'm very thankful for all of the amazing people in my life. I have the best friends and family ever. I never would have gotten through all of this without them. With Thanksgiving coming up, I would like to pay it forward with a giveaway. While I would like to be able to pay it forward with jobs for all of the unemployed, cures for all of the cancer patients and peace for the world, I think the best I can do is give a boudoir session to a lady who really deserves one. =)
So here's the deal. The giveaway will run until 12:01am on November 1st, 2011. There are SO many ways to enter! Enter via one method or all eight! You can even enter via Twitter EVERY DAY! I do ask that the winner be willing to write a short review and/or answer a few questions about her experience and allow at least a few images to be posted on the blog so that everyone can celebrate with them. You can live anywhere in the world to enter, but you do have to be able to come to the studio in Portsmouth, VA for a consultation, the session and the Studio Unveiling. So it's probably easiest to be somewhat local, otherwise the airfare will rack up quickly. =)
Okay, less chatting and more winning. =) Thanks to everyone who has been a part of my life this year. You've all taught me something and mean a lot to me. I appreciate every single one of you!
The photos above were photographed by my favorite family portrait photographer, Wendy Zippwald Photography. If you're in Hawaii and want some truly amazing family portraits, give her a call!
